Hubby has been hankering for some Mexican food at this relatively new taqueria located at City Golf, along Julia Vargas Avenue in Ortigas, Pasig.
The first time we attempted to dine here was at Christmas Day but, unfortunately, the resto was closed. On our second attempt today, the family was glad to find that it’s open for business.
Lo de Alberto is quite cozy; it can seat around 20 to 25 people inside. The interiors are marked with colorful Mexican-themed decor.
Our group ordered 2 Suadero Burritos (Mexican-style seasoned ground beef rolled in home-made wheat tortillas, Php230 each), an Alambre Quesadilla (pork tenderloin and vegetables grilled with cheese inside a tortilla, Php140) , Tres Amigos (a trio of beef, pork and chicken tacos in soft corn tortillas, Php220).
All of these dishes featured the strong flavors we associate with Mexican food. The meats are tender and well-seasoned, and the servings are adequately filling.
I’m pretty sure that family will be back here should one of us have another craving for Mexican food.
