Jelly’s Picks

Check out my favorites and grab them for yourself, too!

Good Reads.

As a self-confessed bookworm, I have a tendency to devour whatever tomes I can get my hands on. Lately though, I gravitate towards e-books: they’re easily accessible and quite handy. In fact, I carry my entire library in my phone! Check out my top picks below:

Gabriel’s Inferno Series by Sylvain Reynard. Centered on its enigmatic protagonist, Professor Gabriel Emerson and his romance with his student Julia Mitchell, the series of erotic novels (which began as a Twilight fanfic) explores their growing passion that transcends their pasts, secrets and fears.

Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy: The Last Man in the World by Abigail Reynolds. As with all fiction that truly engages with their audience, Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice inspired works from its fans that expands upon the original.  One such fan is Abigail Reynolds, a Massachussetts-based physician who started writing P&P fan fiction which explore different plot elements that deviate from the course of Jane Austen’s original, the “what-ifs” that build upon the situations and motivations of the protagonists. She later titled this series as Pemberley Variations. My favorite among the lot is Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy: The Last Man in the World which got me teary-eyed a more than couple of times. Elizabeth and Darcy’s happily-ever-after is made all the sweeter by the all the suffering caused by their earlier misunderstandings.
