This episode digressed from the case-of-the-week procedural format in a major way. Rebecca was impressing the FBI director as Naz‘s protegee during a sit-down type of war games situation while Brian was off investigating NZT trials while battling the drug’s side effects.
When I first saw Sands acting out as Eddie Mora‘s intellectual thug, I began to wonder if Eddie’s character has evolved from the good-guy in the Limitless movie to being the series’ resident big baddie. However, his appearance just as Brian’s battle with NZT’s side effects was taking a turn for the worse gave me some hope.
Bradley Cooper looks weird without his usual five o’clock shadow, though.
Hard-talkin’ coach-on-the- brains Liv Moore giving down-on-the-dumps Major Lilywhite a pep talk is a sight to behold!
Aside from my worries about Oliver‘s continued well-being and my growing suspicions on what’s up between Annalise and Wes, my foremost thought is: The healthiest relationship I’ve ever seen Annalise in is with Eve. Just sayin’.
This episode opens hot and heavy – as in, Laurel’s post-coital snooping among Frank‘s stuff after discovering he has a suitcase full of cash in a storage unit.
This episode’s case of the week concerns a trans woman who kills her abusive husband and exaggerates the crime scene to support her claim of self-defense. The case ends with Annalise wheeling and dealing got both of them off hook from the D. A. Through this case, we see some of Annalise’s hidden feelings about her husband, Sam, who may have also been abusive but she has also “let him win” too often.
Nate assisted his wife’s death but he still resents Annalise for the time he was in jail while his wife was at the hospital, leaving Annalise crying at his door.
The plot twists and hidden sides of the various characters keep on coming in How to Get Away with Murder.
I’m really hooked on Grimm, the show that combines police procedurals and shape-shifting supernaturals. After last season’s finale which put an end to #HexenBitch Juliette‘s extended hissy fit via two arrows to the chest courtesy of Trubel, Nick and Adalind welcome their baby boy named after Nick’s mom, Kelly.
While I appreciate some semblance of normalcy between Adalind and Nick, I would welcome the return of Adalind’s hexenbiest powers but to be used for good this time.

On a family trip to Baguio during the Halloween break, we went to the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet. Sadly, there were no ripe berries left for the picking but we were able to buy fresh strawberries at Php300/kilo. We also sampled the creamy strawberry ice cream from the friendly vendors.

For a while, I was worried that Sleepy Hollow wouldn’t be renewed for a third season. I’m glad to see that Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills are back and still kickin’ ass!
One thing that the show has going for it is the chemistry between the two leads that is not translated as a romantic entanglement on-screen.
This week’s big baddie is the titular Red Lady from Carribee, a wasp-ish lady who sows the seeds of paranoia. She’s not so badass but she is the last fear (“of fear itself”) needed by Pandora to be able to activate her tree-portal to wherever. No doubt, she will be bitchin’ when she returns, but as Abbie says’ “Bring it on.”
After the debacle with #BoringKatrinaCrane who later evolved into #EvilKatrinaCrane, I’m glad to see that Ichabod trying to get back into the saddle with his (awkward) first date since his wife died (ie., was killed… by him… and rightfully so!). I have no clue how this thing with Zoe will turn out but as long she doesn’t become a #PsychoWitch or any other evil supernatural vixen, I’m fine with her (so far!).
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Crane!

Mongolian Quick Stop is my foodcourt favorite for relatively guilt-free yet satisfying lunches. I love how the fresh vegetables, meats and seafoods together with the sauce combinations all come together into a flavorful mixture. I usually go for the affordable Mongolian Quick Bowl which allows me to enjoy the Mongolian Quick Stop experience for only Php90.
