La Luz is a small resort located in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. Situated farther away from the bigger resorts, La Luz provides a quiet and restful family-friendly getaway for city folks. It also serves as a nature preserve, with additional trees planted to supplement the existing one and a swimming ban implemented during low tide to prevent damage to nearby coral reefs. It is pet-friendly as well, with dogs allowed on-premises.
Amenities are clean and well-appointed as well, with furniture made of local bamboo and a strong aircon unit. There are no TVs in the rooms but the free WiFi signal is strong.
Meals are served buffet-style in the pavilion. Bringing outside food is prohibited and each overnight guest is required to avail of the mandatory food package which consist of lunch upon arrival, afternoon snack, dinner and breakfast the next day.
The beach is clean albeit a bit rocky and the water is nice and clear.
I took my family here for a quick getaway during the All Saints Day break. I wouldn’t mind returning.
La Luz Beach Resort is located at Brgy, Hugom, Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. While there have been significant improvements in the roads going there, part of the way still has some rough roads.
