You might be wondering: what exactly is yakiniku? This Japanese term refers to the style of cooking bite-sized meat on gridirons or griddles over flames fueled by charcoal or a gas/electric grill. While its precise origin has been the subject of some debate, it is generally considered to have been inspired by Korean barbecue.
