Yoshinoya serves gyudon, more commonly known as Japanese beef bowls. It consists of a bowl of steaming hot rice topped with thinly sliced beef and onions simmered in a mildly sweet sauce flavored with dashi, soy sauce and mirin. The regular bowl (Php149) is great for a quick snack. while the large bowl (Php185) is more filling.
In a recent lunch out with my officemates, we ordered the beef bowls we’ve been craving for, as well as a Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl (Php145), Ebi Tempura (Php235 for 5 pieces) and California Maki (Php69).
Yoshinoya is great for times when you have a hankering for Japanese food that fast and relatively inexpensive.
