In the heart of Makati, where office workers and shoppers weave through the day, Bo’s Coffee in Glorietta 5 offers a cozy retreat. Whether you’re looking for a spot to work, enjoy a meal with loved ones, or grab a quick coffee, this café adapts to your needs. Since opening its doors in 2009, Bo’s Coffee Glorietta 5 has become a versatile space for every occasion.
Bo’s Coffee is a proudly Filipino brand that started in Cebu, and its roots are evident in every corner of this café. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm, inviting interiors. The chairs and tables are crafted in Cebu, and the unique lamps are designed by world-renowned artist Kenneth Cobonpue. The walls are adorned with photographs taken by Bo’s Coffee founder Steve Benitez himself, adding a personal touch to the space. This branch, one of the largest, is perfect for both quick visits and longer stays.
A Morning Stopover
My first visit to Bo’s Coffee Glorietta 5 was during a busy morning. I had a Zoom meeting and needed a quiet place with reliable WiFi. Bo’s Coffee delivered. I found a comfortable corner, ordered a White Chocolate Mocha (Php180) and a slice of Walnut Raisin Banana Bread (Php95). The rich chocolatey coffee drink was just what I needed to kickstart my day, and the banana bread was a satisfying snack that kept me going through the meeting. The café’s setup, with its ample seating and free WiFi, made it an ideal spot for remote work.
Deliciously Filling Lunch
Another time, I visited Bo’s Coffee with my husband after his doctor’s appointment. We were looking for a place to relax and have a hearty lunch. The menu didn’t disappoint. Hubby opted for the Bolognese Pasta (Php205), a classic dish that was flavorful and filling. On the other hand chose the Corned Beef Breakfast Platter (Php285), which came with corned beef, toast, and scrambled eggs, paired with Bo’s signature coffee. As he was still hungry, he also ordered the Bo’s Breakfast Platter (Php285), a similar dish that included bacon. The food was delicious, and the coffee was a perfect match. We finished our meal with a refreshing Apple Chia Black Tea (Php165) and sweet treats consisting of Chocolate Crinkles (Php40), Dulce de Leche Cheesecake (Php185) and Original Burnt Cheesecake (Php155). The variety on the menu made it easy to find something we both enjoyed.
A Hub for Hanging Out
Bo’s Coffee isn’t just for solo visits or family meals—it’s also a great place to hang out with family and friends. One afternoon, Hubby and I brought my son and his best friend here for dessert and drinks after lunch in the mall. The kids loved the playful options on the menu, especially the Iced Peanut Butter Foam Latte (Php190) and Peanut Butter Mocha Froccino (Php200), both made with Lily’s Peanut Butter. I enjoyed a Fudge Brownie (Php90) with my Apple Tarragon Tea (Php185), a soothing blend made with Tsaa Laya. Hubby, on the other hand, gave in to his sweet tooth and treated himself to a Froccino Caramelo (Php170). The café’s relaxed vibe made it a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day of malling.
