Fans of female-led supernatural TV series will be happy to know that the reboot of the 1990’s TV series “Charmed” will premiere on October 16.
It is a fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series that centres on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, the sisters discover that a witch’s work is never done.
The reboot stars Melonie Diaz (“Be Kind Rewind”), Madeleine Mantock (“Age Before Beauty”) and Sarah Jeffery (“Shades of Blue”) as the Vera sisters who started exhibiting their powers after the death of their mother. They ultimately accept their destiny as the “Charmed Ones” who protect the innocents by vanquishing demons.
Season One of the reboot premieres on October 16, Tuesday, 9.45pm on Blue Ant Entertainment (SKYcable ch 196 HD | 53 SD).
