Tres Promo

Tres is home to good old home Filipino cooking serving the original dishes and those inspired by the late culinary figure Chef Ed Quimzon.

Some of the bestsellers include Kare-Kare-Kare served 4 ways – Classic Beef with flank steak and tripe; Seafood with prawns, squid, fish, shellfish, and clams; Crispy Beef Tadyang, Crispy Pata and Crispy which is a combination of chuck, flank steak, and tripe. The Kare-Kare-Kare Platter is a big order of beef ribs, pork knuckles, prawns and vegetables.

TRES coined the term Kare-Kare-Kare because they give you extra sauce to pour, peanuts to top, and the original TRES bagoong as an accompaniment.

The TRES Crispy Pata is another bestseller. It is soaked in a secret marinade and fried twice for that double delicious crispy crackling goodness. The meat is tender and steeped with flavor. It is served with thinly sliced sweet potato crisps and a sweet and spicy soy sauce and vinegar dip.

Binagoongang Lechon Kawali combines the crispiness of lechon and the spiciness of the Bicol Express sauce. Sizzling Crispy Beef Tadyang is simmered in soy sauce with garlic, onion, laurel leaf and pepper.

For dishes with Spanish and English influence, there is Lengua con Setas, Hickory Baby Back Ribs and Lamb Adobo. Roast Iberian Chicken is the Spanish version of the more familiar roast chicken but this time, the whole chicken is slow roasted in olive oil and spices. There is also Gambas Al Ajillo with fresh prawns sautéed in garlic, green peppers and olive oil. Classic Beef Salpicao is beef tenderloin sautéed in olive oil, chili, roasted minced garlic and then grilled to coax the natural sweet flavor of the meat to come out.

If you are looking for hot delicious soup, there is Beef Bulalo, slow cooked beef marrow until its almost fall-off the bone tender and made more flavorful with corn, green beans, cabbage and potatoes.

The Sinigang comes in 4 variants. Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso, Sinigang na Spareribs, Sinigang na Bangus and Sinigang na Hipon.

There is more. Sugpo at Aligue is fresh prawns sautéed in crab roe, garlic and chili. TRES Bagnet Sampler comes with 3 slices each of Classic, Kare-Kare-Kare and Mantecado with matching sauces. Sizzling Adobo Belly, Lumpiang Shanghai, Bangus ala Pobre, Calamares, Crispy Tilapia, Crispy Ginataang Hito are some of the other choices.

For vegetable dishes, the Gising-Gising is a crowd favorite with ground pork sautéed with Baguio beans, chili and coconut milk. You decide if you want it real spicy. Pinakbet is more decadent with Bagnet, Ampalaya Ensalada has no bitter taste with crispy dried shrimp and a light dressing. Ensaladang Talong, Laing and Monggo round up the choices.

Of course a Filipino table will not be complete without rice. There is the standard Pandan Rice with an aromatic smell, Kalkag Rice with crispy dried shrimp and Lechon Rice with crispy lechon skin and sauce.

There is Halo-Halo that is super thick and creamy and overflowing with macapuno, beans, milk, leche flan, ube and grated ice. For more desserts, try the Ube Macapuno Royale Cake Chocolate Lava Cake, Leche Flan, Biko and Banana-Ube Turon.

Head and Shoulders helps to remove barriers so people can put their #HeadsTogether

In a world that was taught to despise crowded spaces, Head and Shoulders encourages people to find the beauty in it.

To know more about Head Shoulders’ #HeadsTogether Campaign watch the video here and join the conversations online how you break barriers like dandruff

#HeadsTogether made its online debut this month with a tug-at-heartstring video content; an eye-opener on what most people fail to see when they’re caught up inside crowded spaces: the birth of beautiful friendships, a helping hand from a complete stranger, the comfort of warm smiles in unexpected situations. This campaign is a reminder to continue to see the good in the bad, and that the only way this can happen, is when we start to remove the barriers between two people.

Head & Shoulders

Head and Shoulders inspires Filipinos to put their #HeadsTogether

As dandruff remains to be a main hair and scalp problem of Filipinos, exposure to crowded spaces with hot, humid weather makes scalp oilier[BR4] and greasy-looking, and oily scalps tend to be more susceptible to dandruff.

Head & Shoulders

Dandruff prevents people from getting closer together. It’s an unspoken wall coming from a personal discomfort, and Head and Shoulders aims to break this barrier to inspire more people to put their #HeadsTogether.
Head and Shoulders believes in a dandruff-free world; a world without the barriers of flakes and scalp odor. The world’s no. 1 shampoo celebrates closeness and inclusivity, as it inspires to build better and stronger relationships with others. So, no matter how crowded the world is – we are not afraid to be a part of it.

Dandruff-free World

About 50% of the population is prone to experience dandruff and over decades, Head and Shoulders is proven to provide cutting-edge technology and innovative products to address the world’s cry against dandruff. Clinically tested over 200 times, Head and Shoulders is the most tested and trusted anti-dandruff shampoo in the market.

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp and having a healthy and dandruff-free scalp could go a long way – for it does not only give you self-confidence, but that peace of mind wherever you go.

Let Head and Shoulders be your best ally to be more confident to make new friends, ace that first day at your new job, or even just hang out with old friends.

With the world’s no. 1 shampoo, it’s time to put our #HeadsTogether towards a dandruff-free world.

Zomato’s 11th Anniversary – A Birthday with a Bang!

July 10 marks the 11th Anniversary of Zomato globally. And how would a food tech company celebrate its birthday? In a very special way, the Zomato team celebrated by conducting a food driveworldwide. On the day of Zomato’s Birthday, July 10, Zomato Philippines gathered almost 2000 meals that were distributed to selected homeless, underprivileged, and less fortunate areas in Metro Manila. With the help of esteemed brands such as Jollibee, J.CO Donuts & Coffee, Chowking, BonChon Chicken, Long Time Ago, Kashmir, U! Happy, Sangkap, Yoshinoya, La Mère Poulard, ALTA by Relik, Tropical Hut, Rossini Ristorante Italiano, Kowloon House – Bangkal Makati, Recovery Food, Three Guys And A Grill, Uncle Moe’s Shawarma Hub, Buddy’s, Cabalen, Easy, Tiger, Pep Squad Events, AXA Philippines, Tang, and Hearty Bread, Zomato was able to distribute around 2,000 meals in less fortunate communities in Metro Manila. That’s 2000 smiles – a true celebration for Zomato’s Birthday in the Philippines!

The birthday bash was then followed by a Zomato Gold Experience last July 20, with the kids of Mertixell Children’s Foundation. It was themed sibling-for-a-day, where Zomato Gold Members willingly volunteered to be an ate or a kuya for a day. The afternoon was spent with giggles and cheers from the kids, as there was a lot of dancing, singing, fun, and games. An amazing Zomato Gold experience.

In the spirit of Zomato’s mission, better food for more people, the only way they ought to celebrate was to give back. Congratulations and Happy Birthday, Zomato!

BPI opens biggest flagship branch in Northern Metro Manila

BPI marks its 168th anniversary with the opening of its biggest flagship branch in Northern Metro Manila. From left, BPI COO Ramon Jocson, BPI President and CEO Cezar Consing, Head of Sales and Service Channels An-an King and Division Head for Northern Metro Manila Branches Rally Jereza.

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) today formally opened its biggest flagship branch in Norther Metro Manila to date—the BPI Shangrila-Shaw branch and Preferred Center in Mandaluyong City, as it marks 168 years of building a better Philippines.

The new flagship branch follows the design of BPI’s other flagship branches in Ayala Insular and Makati Stock Exchange. BPI Shangri-la Shaw showcases the most modern and innovative designs that will complement the Bank’s aim to provide trusted financial advice, and seamless and convenient client experience.

“This new flagship branch, like similar ones in Metro Manila, represents how technology and brick and mortar can be combined to enhance the customer experience. Today’s Filipino customer wants and deserves more, and a modern branch like this one is one way that we can respond,” said President and CEO Cezar P. Consing.

Shangri-la Plaza is a prime spot located in the heart of Mandaluyong and Ortigas, which is why it was chosen as the location of Northern Metro Manila’s first and biggest flagship branch. Mandaluyong and Ortigas are two of the biggest central business districts in the country. The St. Francis Shaw branch was relocated and named BPI Shangri-la Shaw when the site of the old branch was sold to Shangri-la.

The branch is the first in Metro Manila to stay open seven days a week, from Mondays to Sundays.

Enhanced customer experience

BPI Shangri-la Shaw houses the first multi-purpose Preferred Center, a venue for client engagement activities with facilities that enhance experience and deliver convenience and value to clients.

With this latest branch feature, BPI reinforces its commitment to enhance overall customer experience, both online and offline by providing easy access to relevant financial solutions for every Filipino.

“The two-floor multi-purpose events venue located in the branch’s Preferred Center is what makes BPI Shangri-la Shaw unique compared to the other flagship branches,” said Rally Jereza, Division Head for Northern Metro Manila Branches.

In line with its digitalization efforts, BPI also added an interactive self-service screen in the new branch. A large video wall also displays informational videos for clients.

“Digitalization is about enhancing the client experience. This requires that we make the experience of our clients seamless as they move from physical branches to our digital channels, such as the mobile app and website. Our digital transformation journey allows for an omni-channel experience, with clients being able to start a transaction in one channel, and complete it in another,” explained Jereza.

As for the overall branch design, the Bank drew inspiration from the map of the Philippines. The irregularly shaped ottoman seats at the center of the room represent the Philippine archipelago. The swirling lights in the ceiling evoke images of the Philippine climate and the ever-changing winds that sweep over the country.

BPI hopes to build a better Philippines through providing easy and convenient access to relevant financial and enhance overall customer experience in both online and offline channels.

Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo Gives You More Delicious Options at Budget-Friendly Prices

Just when you thought you’ve experienced all there is to it when it comes to ramen dining, in comes another concept from the same company that gave you the Tsukemen experience.

Infinity Foods Alliance, the firm behind Mitsuyado Sei-men: The House of Tsukemen, recently opened a cafeteria-style ramen shop at the Japan Town of Top of the Glo in Glorietta 2 that is reminiscent of the noodle houses in Japan.

Mitsuyado Seimen is a concept that originated from Tokyo, Japan. It specializes in Tsukemen (dipping noodle). This is what it has been known for in the Philippines for the past six to seven years. It is known for making good quality thick noodles for Tsukemen. For Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo, meanwhile, uses good quality thin noodles.

“Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo is a ramen house where you can choose your own ramen and pair it with your preferred topping,” explained Judy Kay C. Ang, representative of Infinity Food Alliance.

Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo was born because the company wanted to offer a fast-paced restaurant to satisfy the ramen cravings of Filipinos. In the Philippines, ramen has been priced on the average of P400-P500 per bowl. Through Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo, it wants to bring ramen appreciation to a price level that is more affordable, which is about only P180 per bowl.

Their ramen offerings include the Hakata Ramen, a pork-based broth that originated from the Hakata District of Fukuoka in Kyushu in southern Japan. They also have the white original Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, Red Spicy Ramen (which makes use of the Japanese spice, karashi), Black Garlic, and Green Matcha.

To add variety to the ramen they ordered, customers are encouraged to customize it by selecting from various favorite Japanese toppings. Choices include the Charsiu, Sukiyaki, Ajitama, and Boneless Pork Chop, among others. Ang said that there are currently 10 to 12 toppings, and this number can increase in the coming months.

“We want to offer something different to the popular ramen, and we want it to be very affordable. At Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo, customers can enjoy good quality noodles at very budget-friendly prices,” said the company’s Marketing and Customer Care Specialist April Faith Alquiroz.

Now, if you want to enjoy your ramen with other popular Japanese food on the side, you can do, too! For Filipinos who love rice, meanwhile, there are donburi options available. There are the Pork Cutlet Rice Bowl Don, Ebi Tempura Don, Chicken Karaage Don, Boneless Porkchop Don, and Gyoza to choose from.

Ang said that after their Glorietta ramen shop, they will be opening another Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo in Vertis North. In the coming months, they will also be unveiling a CoCo ICHIBANYA Curry House in Top of the Glo before the end of the year.

Infinity Foods Alliance is among the many companies focusing on Japanese concept restaurants by entrepreneur Hubert Young, who has been credited for growing the UCC Coffee chain in the Philippines. He is also set to open the biggest Japanese fast food burger chain Mos Burger in the last quarter of the year.

Mitsuysado Ramen Shokudo is located at Top of the Glo, Roofdeck, Glorietta 1, Ayala Center, Glorietta Complex, Makati City, open Sundays to Thursdays from 10am to 9pm and Fridays to Saturdays from 10am to 10pm.
