CinemaWorld gives viewers a peek into a wider world this May

If the extension of the enhanced community quarantine had you feeling all the more confined in your own little corner, why not take sneak peeks into the wider world out there through foreign films?

Aside from the usual Hollywood fare, as well as your growing collection of Korean movies, you can also sample some of the cinematic masterpieces from all over the world through CinemaWorld.

CinemaWorld is a 24-hour, movie channel that premieres the world’s best and award-winning movies, box-office successes, critics’ favorites from all around the world. These films are aired in their original language with English substitles; this way, viewers can immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the locales but still follow the story from the dialogue.

On Sundays at 9pm this May, CinemaWorld will air the exclusive TV premieres of international blockbusters and critically acclaimed movies through its weekly Sunday See The World stunt. These movies include:

THE TESTAMENT

Inspired by true events, this film was nominated for best film at the Venice Film Festival 2017. Yoel is a Jewish historian in Holocaust research. It runs contrary to his mother’s identity and he risks it all to discover the truth.

New HBO Original Series PLOT AGAINST AMERICA Debuts 17 March Exclusively On HBO GO And HBO

Based on the acclaimed Philip Roth novel of the same name, this six-part limited series imagines an alternate American history, told through the eyes of a working-class Jewish family in New Jersey as they watch the political rise of aviator-hero and xenophobic populist Charles Lindbergh, who becomes president and turns the nation toward fascism. THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA will premiere same time as the U.S. on Tuesday, 17 March at 9am on HBO GO and HBO with an encore telecast on the same day at 10pm on HBO.

HBO’s brand new comedy series RUN debuts 13 April

Written and produced by Vicky Jones, HBO’s new half-hour comedy series Run, debuting same time as the U.S. on Monday, 13 April at 10.30am exclusively on HBO GO and HBO, follows a woman whose humdrum life is thrown upside down when she receives a text from her college sweetheart inviting her to drop everything and meet him in New York to fulfill the pact they made 17 years earlier.

HBO drama series WESTWORLD returns for its third season on 16 March on HBO GO and HBO

The Emmy® winning drama series Westworld returns for its eight-episode third season same time as the U.S. on Monday, 16 March at 9am, exclusively on HBO GO and HBO. A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth, the show was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are also executive producers.

Come home to these great movies on SKYcable this December

Another live action revival awaits cartoon lovers this coming Dec.25 at 8:00 P.M. as “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water” airs on Fox Family. In Paul Tibbitt’s directorial debut, Spongebob helps Mr. Krabbs in finding Burger Bread who stole the top secret recipe of Krabby Patties.

‘90s babies now have the chance to catch “The Brady Bunch Movie” on Paramount on December 31 at 2:15 P.M. Parents Mike (Gary Cole) and Carol (Shelley Long) are having problems as their home is in danger of being taken away by Larry (Michael Mckean), the house’s developer. As soon as their six Brady kids know of the problem, they decide to enter a talent contest to help the family.

Sports fans can learn from “Gold,” a fictionalized retelling of the first Olympic gold win by hockey team, Independent India in 1948, on Zee Sine. In this historical sports drama, which airs Dec.21 at 8:30 P.M.,, check how assistant manager Tapas (Akshay Kumar) was instrumental in bringing India its first Olympic Gold as a free nation.

Also don’t miss Vice Ganda’s “Fantastica” on C1 this December 31 at 9:00 P.M., where he plays a struggling carnival owner thinking of ways to make his family’s business become lively again.
